Carex EverColor® ‘Eversheen’

EverColor Eversheen is an evergreen sedge with narrow, arching blades striped lime-yellow down the center and edged in dark green. It builds a fountain about a foot tall and wider, bringing a bright thread of color to shady plantings every month of the year.

Grow it in part shade to shade in soil that stays reasonably moist; morning sun deepens the color, while afternoon shade is the safer bet in Birmingham. It is deer resistant. Comb or trim tired blades in early spring. Fine in containers, edging, and mass plantings.
