Impatiens Beacon thrives in the shade where so many annuals sulk, delivering jewel-toned flowers from now through frost without complaint. The violet shades read deep and rich even in low light, a real advantage when you're tucking color into a north-facing bed or under tree cover.

Keep soil consistently moist—these aren't drought plants—and pinch back leggy growth early in the season. You'll get bushier, fuller plants that flower right through our humid summers.
