Deep purple plumes that hold their colour through late summer and into fall without fading or flopping—celosia bred to stay upright and showy when heat has flattened everything else. The dark foliage underneath reads almost black, which makes the flower spikes pop even harder.

Wants sun and decent drainage, but otherwise asks for almost nothing once established. Deadheading keeps blooms coming, though you can leave the spent flowers on if you like the dried texture.
