Tillandsia blooms are rare and brief: a single vivid flower spike emerging from the rosette, usually red or purple, lasting days to weeks. Once it goes, offsets appear at the base to keep the plant going.

Bright indirect light through a window, weekly misting or a soak in room-temperature water, and good air circulation. After bloom fades, let the pups grow on and separate them when they're a third the mother's size.
