Green Mountain is an upright boxwood that grows naturally into a broad cone, reaching about 4 to 5 feet tall. Its bright green foliage holds color through winter instead of bronzing, which keeps formal plantings looking crisp in January. It is a natural for topiary, matched pairs at an entry, or a sculpted hedge.

Plant it in sun to part shade with well-drained soil and a light mulch over the shallow roots. Shear in late spring after new growth hardens, or let the cone shape develop on its own. Water during summer dry spells for the first couple of years.
