Encore Bonfire is a fast-growing dwarf azalea loaded with true red blooms, a mix of single and semi-double flowers that appear in spring and return in summer and fall. The bright green foliage holds its color year-round, keeping the shrub fresh between flushes. Expect about 3 feet tall at maturity.

Give it part sun to sun for dependable rebloom, in acidic, well-drained soil with mulch over the shallow roots. Water regularly the first two summers. If shaping is needed, prune immediately after the spring bloom cycle so the later flushes develop on new growth.
