Encore Sunset is a compact reblooming azalea that opens rich red flowers in spring, then returns with more color through summer and fall. The evergreen foliage stays neat at roughly 3 feet tall and a bit wider, sized for foundations and beds near the house.

Unlike older azaleas, Encores take real sun; part sun to full sun with a little afternoon relief is ideal here. Plant in acidic, well-drained soil, mulch the roots, and prune only right after the spring bloom so you don't sacrifice the later flushes.
