Wax begonias with deep red flowers and bronze-tinged foliage make a dense, low mound that fills in quickly through spring and into fall. They handle both sun and partial shade without fussing, and they shrug off the heat.

Tuck them into beds alongside coleus or caladiums for color play, or mass them where you need steady color from April through the first hard freeze. They'll keep flowering even when temperatures spike.
