Violas are cold-season flowers that actually prefer cooler weather, so October planting sets them up to bloom right through winter here and into spring. 'Peach Jump Up Penny' brings a warm, soft color to beds and containers when most other things have shut down for the season.

Plant in a spot with good light and soil that drains reasonably well. They're low-maintenance once established and will keep flowering through our mild winters as long as they get occasional water during dry stretches.
