Corsican stonecrop Major is a miniature sedum that spreads as a cushion of tiny, bead-like blue-gray leaves, barely an inch or two tall, often blushing lavender in bright sun. Between pavers or over the rim of a trough, it looks like a living gravel of pearls.

It wants sun and sharp drainage and precious little else; drought, heat, deer, and rabbits do not slow it down. Keep it out of rich, wet soil, the one thing it objects to. Broken pieces root where they land, making it easy to spread along a path.
