West Jogoo is a haworthia, a small South African succulent forming a compact rosette of thick, dark green, triangular leaves textured with raised ridges. It grows slowly and stays small, which is the charm: it fits a windowsill pot or dish garden for years while keeping its crisp, geometric look.

Unlike many succulents it prefers bright, indirect light over harsh direct sun, which can bronze the leaves. Water only when the soil has dried completely, less in winter, and use a gritty cactus mix. It is a good desk plant for people who forget to water.
