Pea pebbles are small rounded stones about three-eighths of an inch across, smooth underfoot and loose enough to rake level. They drain freely and never break down, so unlike mulch you lay them once.

Good for paths, dog runs, drainage beds, the gaps between steppers, and as a top dressing in containers. Put landscape fabric down first or they work their way into the soil.
